Maxxliving
Off-the-grid Homes in South Africa
Arthur started Maxxliving in South Africa to address the country’s massive housing crisis with a fundamentally different approach to how homes are built. Through Maxxliving he developed and deployed his revolutionary home concept in South Africa’s first timber-built, 100% off-the-grid estate. South Africa was the proving ground for a new manufacturing and construction technique.
The product development in South Africa laid the foundation for the launch of Beyond Brix in the American market. Arthur’s experience building and investing in South Africa also became the basis for his book, The Prosperity Trap, which reflects on the challenges, lessons, and opportunities of creating meaningful economic impact in the country.
